Neglect Not the Gift that is in Thee

Neglect Not the Gift that is in Thee - Maria Woodworth-Etter - July 17, 1913 [*With commentary by Pamela Booker]

by Agape Truth International on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 2:03pm ·
99 years ago, Maria Woodworth-Etter gave a Word that is still relevant today.
In the "Latter Rain Evangel" news edition of August 1913 it was reported that "Maria addressed seventy elders, evangelists and helpers, and hands were laid on them that they might receive a fresh anointing of the Spirit and have more power in their ministry." [*In the Old Testiment and even as close as almost 100 years ago, and to this day, God used His anointed ones to lay hands on to impart giftings! I love God's consistancy!]

The article siad, "A holy hush fell on all and the slaying power of the Lord was strongly manifested. One after another they were prostrated under the power until the large platform looked like a battlefield."

This is the sermon that Maria Woodworth-Etter preached on July 17, 1913 to the Stone Church in Dallas Texas...

"The Lord has given me a special mission to bring about a spirit of unity and love and God is raising up people in every land who are reaching out after more of God and saying, "Come and help us. We want the spirit of love. We want the signs and wonders." The Lord showed me last night as 1 lay awake the most of the night, to gather together the ministers as far as I could that we might see eye to eye, preach the same Gospel and have the same signs following.

"The word is going forth and the multitude is going to take it up and publish it everywhere this Gospel of the Kingdom, our last commission. So you see the saints going out, to give this last message, telling the people that 'Jesus is corning soon."

Mother Etter went on to say that, "You must have the Spirit resting upon you if you are to do anything for God, either at home or abroad. You are not fit for work unless you have it, [the Holy Spirit] and those who serve at home must have it [the Holy Spirit] the same as those who go to China or Africa.

God is not calling every one to the foreign field, but God is calling everyone in some way. Many make the mistake of going out, whom God has not called, and many spend all their time running around to campmeetings. Let us make every place a tent of meeting with the Lord and the Spirit may fall on us as on Eldad and Medad, who were not called to the tent of meeting. And if you are not called to the foreign field, get to work in the place which God does call you to labor."

Further down in the article she said, "The hardest place God sends you to is just the place where He is going to give the greatest victory. But if you have not the spirit and power of the Holy Ghost to energize you, you will be stranded. God expects us to be qualified by the Spirit resting upon us even more in these last days than in the time of Moses. The seventy that Christ sent out had power, and how much more should we have power now that Christ is glorified? So we are expected to do all these great things set forth in the last chapter of Mark."

[*Man! This was almost 100 years ago, so how much MORE do we need the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministries!]

"Now in the twenty-fourth chapter of Matthew it says this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached to all nations as a witness and then shall the end come. Friends, you and I cannot go out and preach as we used to do. Many sermans that God wonderfully blessed in the past I cannot preach now. I used to preach hell Fire, so you could nearly see the fire, and it took effect then, but the call today is for a different ministry."

"It is not so much in the might of preaching but in the demonstration of the Spirit." [*I LOVED this!]

She said, "Sinners are more hard-hearted than they used to be. You can preach hell until they see the blaze and yet they will stand and look you calmly in the face; but let them see the mighty power of God manifested, and they are convicted."

[*Amen Amen Amen!!! God never changes! When God told Maria to start laying hands on people to heal them she was reluctant because she worried it would take away the salvations, but God told her to do it and the salvations would come! WooHoo! It is STILL the goodness and kindness of God that brings people to repentance!]

In another part of the article Maria said, "God expects us as ambassadors, as teachers, as messengers of His Kingdom to blow the trumpet that sounds the alarm to those who are not ready for His coming. He expects us to prove by His Word, and by the signs and wonders following our minisiry make it plain that Jesus is coming soon."

His ambassadors must stop all contention; all hair-splitting theories must be dropped; the harping on finished work or sanctification that antagonizes the saints must be put away. [*She was a woman after God's own heart. She preached salvation, love, healing and UNITY amongst the denominations!]

"We are to go out and lift up Jesus. Not many sinners come in by our preaching red-hot judgment these days. Paul says preaching has to be in demonstration of the Spirit and with power. The Holy Ghost bears witness with signs and miracles; unless these attend our ministry we cannot succeed." [*WOW Preach it Mother Etter!]

"There are scores and hundreds getting saved. They come from all parts of the country to get healed."
[*Sounds like Redding California to me - grin!]

"The ministry of healing brings people more than anything else and if you can lay hands on the sick and they recover you won't have to Preach to empty seats. You produce the goods of heaven and people want the goods. Let the word go forth in demonstrationand power so people can see what God has for them. There will be no failure in your ministry when they see the power of the Lord present to heal. God expects you to preach as one haviag authority."

[*Whew! I feel the anointing ALL over that as I read the article and compose this note! People 100 years ago hungered for something REAL. People today in 2012 hunger for the real deal! If they don't get it they turn to other darker forms of the supernatural...it is our commission from Christ to bring Heaven down to Earth and demonstrate the supernatural that will show the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to the sick and hurting world!]

"If you blow the trumpet, show the people a supernatural God, and give them the light on what is coming in the millennial age, -that they will be king's and priests - tlhey will realize that the King is in our midst in power and might and glory. Any one that will call upon God in the right way shall be saved."

"He is pouring out His Spirit upon the son's and daughters. There is a special ministry for the women in these days. There are scores to get saved and healed, so you will always have the miraculous if the signs follow. God is going to draw in such as can be saved, to see the mighty works."

"Paul said to Timothy, "Stir up the gift of God that is in thee." If there is any gift God is showing  you, you ought to have, you can receiveit by the laying on of hands. It is not so much what you say about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, it is but what they see you have."

Maria Woodworth-Etter concluded the serman by saying, "We can talk until we are hoarse, and they won't be convinced, but it is the power of God that convinces them. Don't wait for manifestations before you go forth and do something.  When you are weakest, then you are strong. Let's go out and work miracles. Then the people will glorify God!"

[*This little woman refused to back down, even after her denomination outed her." At Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry extension class tonight, Bill Johnson said a few words about Mother Etter, which intrigued me to do some research that led me to this article of her serman....

Bill said that, "Maria Woodworth-Etter was a powerful woman revivalist that changed and transformed cities everywhere that she went." Even though she lost five of her six children at very young ages, knew the heartbreak of loosing her children, she did not let that hurt harden her heart towards God, instead it provoked her to go after God!

I have heard many prophecy's in the last year, saying that it was a time for women ministers to come forth, that God is raising up inter-generational women in the five fold ministry for the Kingdom! Bill siad, "Maria became the most powerful healing evangelist of her time! She was fearless and walked in great authority! We need a whole generation to pick up her mantle."

Maria preached this serman to 70+ ministers, elders & helpers. Since the year was 1913, and she was one of extremely few women ministers, I am thinking she was preaching this to mostly men...so men I am definately not counting you out and there is much for you to glean from this amazing woman of God.

For myself, I choose to take up Maria's mantle and my challenge is this: Women of every Nation, You Who have heard the "Call"... will you take up Marie Woodworth-Etter's mantle? You were born for such a time as this!

Egypt's World Prayer Day 11/11/11

The largest Christian event in Egypt in over 1,000 years! This gather of Muslims and Christian alike was held a place, popularly known as "The Cave Church", where they all came together and broke out spontaneously, yelling YESHUA!!! YESHUA!!! YESHUA!!! This was prophecied by Prophet Kim Clement in 2004 of how the people would grow tired of Allah and begin to proclaim the name of the one true Lord, Jesus Christ, Yeshua!

Arms Wide Open - Misty Edwards

What does love look like? is the question Ive been pondering
What does love look like?
What does love look like? is the question Ive been asking of You
Once believed that love was romance, just a chance
I even thought that love was for the lucky and the beautiful
I once believed that love was a momentary bliss, but love is more than this
All You ever wanted was my attention
All You ever wanted was love from me
All You ever wanted was my affections to sit here at Your feet and tell me
What does love look like? is the question Ive been pondering
What does love look like? If all of life comes down to love then tell me
What does love look like? is the question Ive been pondering
What does love look like?

Then I sat down a little frustrated and confused
Your fire of life comes down to love. And love has to be more than sentiment,
More than selfishness and selfish gain

Then I saw Him there
Hanging on a tree, looking at me
I saw Him there
Hanging on a tree, looking at me
He was looking at me looking at Him, staring through me
I could not escape those beautiful eyes
And I began to weep and weep

He had arms wide open, heart exposed
Arms wide open, He was bleeding, bleeding.
Arms wide open, heart exposed
Arms wide open, He was bleeding, bleeding
Loves definition
Loves definition, was looking at me
Looking at Him. Hanging on a tree
I began to weep and weep and weep and weep
This is how I know what love is.

And as I sat there, weeping, crying, those beautiful eyes
Full of desire and love. And He said to me
You shall love Me..You shall love Me.
With arms wide open, heart exposed
With arms wide open, bleeding, sometimes bleeding
You shall love Me.. You shall love Me..

If anybodys looking for love in all the wrong places
If youve been searching for love, come to Me. Come to me.
Take up your cross. Deny yourself.
Forget your fathers house and run. Run with Me.
Cause you were made for abandon your heart and listen
Cause you were made for Someone greater, Someone bigger, so follow Me.
And youll come alive when you learn to die.
And He said to me

You shall love Me. You shall love Me

With arms wide open, heart exposed
With arms wide open, bleeding, sometimes bleeding

Day to day tips for making life easier

  • Pray no 1.
  • Have a routine. knowing what to expect and what is expected of you will help keep you motivated.
  • Plan in advance. getting things ready the night before can ease the stress of work, school runs or lessons first thing in the morning..chances are that a better, smoother running morning will have a positive effect on your outlook for the day.

  • Set limits/boundaries. This is for yourself and others. Don't feel obliged to run around after other people or push yourself into trying to take on more that you should. Listen to what your mind and body are telling you and react appropriately - rest, sleep, eat...whatever you feel you need to do then do. You can do a lot more in the long run if you take care of yourself now.
  • Tidy up. Clutter and mess can really seem overwhelming if left for too long to build up. Try and clean up as you go about your day or do one extra thing each day to help catch up if you have fallen behind...don't forget to enlist the help of anyone you live with too!
  • Make time for you. Read a few chapters of a book, catch up on a t.v show, soak in the bath, listen to music, paint your nails or play on the computer - ANYTHING that makes YOU happy.

Hold Me Near by Enter The Worship Circle

Hold me near you, when i am restless
Hold me near you, when i am bitter
Hold me near you, when i'm rebellious
Hold me near until the end

Hold me near you, when my heart is broken
Hold me near you, when i'm ignorant
Hold me near you, when i am jealous
Hold me near until the end

But as for me, my feet almost gave up, i nearly sold my heart
It's good to be held by my father, its good to be where you are ...

Come My Way by Skillet

Hundreds come from everywhere
Just to see your face and touch the healer's hand
Desperate, I push through the crowd
If I could touch your clothes
I could feel your power

Come my way

Please look
And notice me
Just to release my pain
Just to know your name

Come my way

I'm out of touch
I'm out of reach
I've got the faith to believe
Am I out of touch or out of reach
What would it take for you to walk towards me

I'm out of touch, out of reach
But I'm running towards you and it's all I believe

Come my way

Just a touch

What A Friend by Jadon Lavik

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Oceans by Jonny Hale and Noe Chaparro

Your love’s like the open sky
so wide and so deep
And hope it surrounds me
like the air that I breathe

I surrender to grace
let it wash over me
Now here in Your hands I am free

**
Even when the sun forgets to shine /
When the stars fall from the sky
As faithful as the tide
I am Yours and You are mine

Your loves like the ocean
Here’s the tidal wave
It’s heading my way
Crushing my fears and pains

It takes my breath away
As you wash over me
Now I’m right were I need to be

**
Even when the sun forgets to shine /
When the stars fall from the sky
As faithful as the tide
I am Yours and You are mine

Watching autumn leaves
dance to paint the breeze
Reminds me of all the times
And the reasons why

Remind me who I am by Jason Gray

When I lose my way
When I forget my name
Remind me who I am
In the mirror all I see
is who I don’t wanna be
Remind me who I am

In the loneliest places
When I can’t remember what grace is

Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
I belong to You
To You

When my heart is like a stone
and I’m running far from home
Remind me who I am
When I can’t receive Your love
Afraid I’ll never be enough
Remind me who I am

If I’m Your beloved
Can You help me believe it

Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
I belong to You
To You

I’m the one You love
I’m the one You love
That will be enough
I’m the one You love

Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
That I belong to You
Whoa
Tell me once again who I am to You
Who I am to You
Tell me
Lest I forget who I am to You
That I belong to You
To You
To You

Home by Phillip Phillips

The song was co-written by Drew Pearson and Greg Holden

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Chorus :
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize by Bruce Springsteen

These lyrics were reworked from an old folk song by Civil Rights activist Alice Wine in the 1950s. Springsteen's rendition is very moving. Well done Mr. Springsteen.

Paul and Silas bound in jail
Had no money to go their bail
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Paul and Silas thought
They was lost
Dungeon shook and
The chains come off
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Freedom's name is mighty sweet
And soon we're gonna meet
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

I got my hand on the gospel plow
Won't take nothing for
My journey now
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Hold on, Hold on
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Only chain that a man can stand
Is that chain o'hand
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

I gonna board
That big Greyhound
Carry the love from
Town to town
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Hold on, Hold on
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

The only thing I did was wrong
Was staying' in the
Wilderness too long
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on
The only thing I did was right
Was the day we started to fight
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Hold on, Hold on
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Hold on, Hold on
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Hold on, Hold on
Keep your eyes on the prize
Hold on

Ain't been to heaven
But I been told
Streets up there are
Paved with gold

Who are you?

You are more than a conqueror
You are the head and not the tail
You are a child of the Most High King
You have been bought with a price, and YOU belong to God!

Becoming a Child of God

Galatians 3:26-27 (KJV) says, "For you are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." All of us want to be children of God, but it is our faith in Christ that leads us to become children of God. This verse also tells us how our faith leads us to be children of God. It says, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." The word for as used in this scripture is a preposition, which means for the purpose of or in order to be. Therefore, we are baptized for the purpose of or in order to be God's children.

To be a child of God and part of His family, we must be born into His family.  Our Lord said in John 3:3, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven."  Then He tells us how being born again takes place in John 3:5, "Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."  When one is born again by being baptized into Christ he becomes a child of God.

We might ask the question, "If I had to prove that I was a child of God in order to get into heaven, could I do it?"  Only those who are God's children will inherit heaven.  In 1 Peter 1:4 we read "To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you."  Are you eligible for that inheritance?  Have you become a child of God by being baptized into Christ?  If you haven't then you have no inheritance in heaven.  You will inherit eternal punishment.  Why would anyone in their right mind not want to be a child of God?

Has your faith led you to be baptized, so that you can become a child of God?  If not then you are not a child of God. To be a child of God, our faith must be a faith that will accept and do all that the Lord tells us to do. It must be an obedient faith, because God says in James 2:17,20 & 24, "Thus also faith, by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." "But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?" "You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only." We are not saved by "faith only".  If our faith is not one of action, it is a dead faith. A dead faith will do us no good on the day of judgment. This is the only place in the Bible that speaks of "faith only". Here it does not commend it, but rather condemns it. It also refers to one who believes in "faith only" as "O foolish man."

The purpose of Life

In Life :

    1. Don’t be afraid of change. Change can be awesome!
    2. You were born an original; don’t die a copy!
    3. Dare to be different. You don’t have to do what the masses are doing. Do your own thing!
    4. Only one life to live. Don’t live it with regrets of what you should’ve or could’ve done!
    5. Success doesn’t often come by following the masses!
    6. Get out of your comfort zone and follow the narrow path that leads to an exciting life!
    7. And last, but not least – don’t throw away old people. They have so much knowledge, wisdom, strength and courage – gained through years of hard work, rough experience and tough times. No book, professor, or other can teach that in class!!!

Now, I challenge YOU to go and live out your dreams! If you are already doing it, great! If not… maybe its time to make that change!!!  Life is too short not to…
    • What dream do you think is impossible?
    • What have you been told you could not achieve?
    • Would you like to awaken the dream inside you?

All is possible, if you believe…

Do You Dream Or Are You Part of The Walking Dead?

The first day of school, our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn’t already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.  I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.

She said, ‘Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?’  I laughed and enthusiastically responded, ‘Of course you may!’ and she gave me a giant squeeze.
‘Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?’ I asked. ‘I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!’ she told me.  After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.
Do You Dream Or Are You Part of The Walking Dead?

We became instant friends. Every day for the next 3 months, we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this ‘time machine’ as she shared her wisdom and experience with me. Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she revelled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I’ll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium.
She said, ‘Let me tell you what I know.’  She cleared her throat and began.
'We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only 4 secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You’ve got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it!  There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. Anybody can grow older. That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.  The elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets..’
Do You Dream Or Are You Part of The Walking Dead?
At the year’s end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those months ago. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.  Over 2000 college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it’s never too late to be all you can possibly be.

In loving memory of ROSE…

Story Of Pushing Against The Rock

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light and G-d appeared. The L-rd told the man He had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The L-rd explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.

This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing it with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

"L-rd" he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even been able to budge that rock. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The L-rd responded compassionately, "My friend, When I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so?"

"Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you have done. I, My friend, will now move the rock."

Something To Think About: Sometimes persistence itself produces things in you that you may not expect.

How to be Self-Confidence and more Assertive

Self-Confidence Also known as Self-Esteem. It is how you feel about yourself.
If you mostly like yourself, your self-esteem is high. If you mostly feel bad about yourself, your self-esteem is low.

In building self Confidence, we need to build on our successes and not our failures and on what we can do, not on what we can't do. When we believe in doing good then we have the ability to be assertive, to stand up for ourself and to express how we feel when we feel it is necessary.

If you ask me where do I get my confidence? My answer is God. I know I'm weak but He is strong. He is still building on my successes by opening doors for me day by day. Without Him I'm stuck in a hole.

I learned much from Nick Vujicic's struggle. Still learning, though.
"When people constantly say that I'm not good enough, I know the truth who I am. I'm a child of God.  It's not about my capability, I'm nothing. God lives in me and now  I live in His strength. And whatever Jesus conquer I conquer".

 Nick Vujicic's Testimony

Full Movie

What are you living for? Honor God by doing what you love.

Keep Going!

Revelation 3 : 1-2
I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
Wake up!
Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.

To succeed in life everyone requires a success coach to help them achieve greatness. God is our coach! We must never quit in life & always strive to keep going on, a little further. Stay focused, keep on pushing on and never give up on the goals and things we deserve in our life.

Be Strong

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in

I love the meaning of these lyrics.

We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not
And who I am

I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz

Hmmmm ... Hmmmm ... Hmmmm ... Hmmm ...

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not
And who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
Still looking up.

I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

Funny how ...

... close our paths keep winding up but they never crossed
... varying opportunities to bump but it never occurred
... many excuses were given out that were all just coverups
... the possibilities were constantly shrugged off
... other people could get to the conclusion point faster
... often circumstances make way for self-ruin but it didn't
... skeptics like me were constantly proven wrong
... so close and yet so far it has been
... a little timing can give a huge difference
... all this while I thought my life was falling apart ...

Until that one little message many midnights ago, that sparked everything to life. Since then the silver lining that peeked in the sky gradually shows itself in steady brightness. I feel a cliche coming, but it's the one bright spot I look forward to day after day.

Sometimes things may look like they are falling apart, but they may actually be falling into place. Who would've thought it?

Somewhere in my soul, I felt this wondrous divine whisper, "Do you doubt me now, my child?"

Jealousy

Jealousy will trap you right where you are. Instead, learn to let other people's success inspire you. If God did something for them, He can certainly do it for you.

Today, I would like to share with you some inspirational quotes on helping others and a picture quote I have just made this morning. Most of these helping quotes are from famous people. These quotes inspire me to do my best (“small things with great love” – Mother Teresa) to help others because I believe that helping others is helping myself. Cheering someone up is cheering myself up. I want to do some more picture quotes on this topic next week. Please share this page with your family and friends, please help others by sending beautiful and positive thoughts to them. And please “spread love wherever you go” (Mother Teresa).  Enjoy your Tuesday! :-)
Here are some quotes on helping others:
No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.
― Charles Dickens
I believe the world is one big family, and we need to help each other.
– Jet Li
Give, but give until it hurts.
― Mother Teresa
There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
― John Holmes
Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.
― Horace Mann
Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.
― Booker T. Washington, Up from Slavery
You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.
― John Bunyan
We only have what we give.
― Isabel Allende
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.
― Gordon B. Hinckley
You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.
― John Bunyan
It’s not enough to have lived.
We should be determined to live for something.
May I suggest that it be creating joy for others,
sharing what we have for the betterment of personkind,
bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.
― Leo Buscaglia
Never underestimate the difference YOU can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help. This week reach to someone that might need a lift.
― Pablo
Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water -it will make ripples throughout the entire pond…
― Jessy and Bryan Matteo
Give yourself entirely to those around you. Be generous with your blessings. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.
― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Help us to help each other, Lord,
Each other’s cross to bear;
Let each his friendly aid afford,
And feel his brother’s care.
― Ralph Harrison
What I spent, I had; what I saved, I lost; what I gave, I have.
― German motto
Remember this. Hold on to this. This is the only perfection there is, the perfection of helping others. This is the only thing we can do that has any lasting meaning. This is why we’re here. To make each other feel safe.
― Andre Agassi, Open
When you become detached mentally from yourself and concentrate on helping other people with their difficulties, you will be able to cope with your own more effectively. Somehow, the act of self-giving is a personal power-releasing factor.
Norman Vincent Peale

Mother Teresa Quotes

One of the most compassionate, wise people I know of, one who cared about people nobody was caring for
was Mother Teresa. A very special person who has left some very beautiful quotes behind. If you want to learn any wisdom than you are doing really well if you follow up Mother Theresa's words. Here are some of the quotes of this beautiful lady

Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.

There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread, but there are many more dying for a little love.

If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

We ourselves feel is what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop

Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless

Those who say it can’t be done have to get out of the way of Those who are doing it

If whe cannot love the person who we see how can we love god who we cannot see

Spread love everywhere you go. First of all in your own home Give love to your children to a wife or a husband, to a next-door neighbour

If you want a love message to be heard, is has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning we have to keep putting oil in it.

Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.

If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little,we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Love is the fruit in season of all times and within the reach of every hand

If you judge people you have no time to love

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
Mother Teresa

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
Mother Teresa

Each one of them is Jesus in disguise.
Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa

I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?
Mother Teresa

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Mother Teresa

If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.
Mother Teresa

If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.

Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor… Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting. – Mother Teresa
Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do . . . but how much love we put in that action. – Mother Teresa
I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love. – Mother Teresa
The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty — it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There’s a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God. – Mother Teresa
I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish he didn’t trust me so much. – Mother Teresa
People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. – Mother Teresa
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it. – Mother Teresa
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. – Mother Teresa
At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done.
We will be judged by “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.”
Hungry not only for bread – but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing – but naked of human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a home of bricks – but homeless because of rejection. – Mother Teresa
Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love. – Mother Teresa
Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. – Mother Teresa
The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread. – Mother Teresa
God made the world rich enough to feed and clothe all human beings. – Mother Teresa
Do ordinary things with extraordinary Love. – Mother Teresa
We can do no great things; only small things with great love. – Mother Teresa
People who love each other fully and truly are the happiest people in the world. They may have little, they may have nothing, but they are happy people. Everything depends on how we love one another. – Mother Teresa
